Kheng Ping Cafe Part II @ Penang Road, Penang

Since my previous posts did not finished introduced the foods offer by Kheng Pin Cafe, I decided to blog part II. After several visits, finally I have some photos to blog about it. This is one of the places that I will usually bring my visitors for breakfast. As I found that all the foods served in this cafe are very delicious. And I am glad that all of my visitors that been to this cafe is giving a "tumb up" for the foods that they had.
Lor Bak
Usually I will ordered everything each for my visitors to try. That way they have all the combination and be able to taste all sort of stuff offered by this lor bak stall. If you want more photos about this lor bak, pop over to my last post.
Char Koay Tiaw
I love the CKT there as love the wok hei and aroma. If you prefer the CKT to be dry rather than wet, then please give this stall a try. I am sure you will like it.
Fresh Fish Porridge
I am not sure why, I fall in love with the porridge stall too after the first attempt of trying their century egg porridge. This time round, I try out their fresh fish porridge. I like the way that they sprinkle the salted egg in small pieces above the porridge. It make the porridge just the right amount of saltiness.
Chicken ~ Pak Cham Kai
In my last posts, CK remind me of their chicken rice. And since most of the time I only went there during breakfast hour, I always don't have the chance to try out their chicken rice. I told hubby about the recommendation and during one lunch hour, he went with his colleagues to try out the chicken rice. He falls in love with the pak cham kai after he consumed and told me about it whole night. So the next day, he brought my gal and I to try out the chicken rice. He kept asking us to go early as he told us that if we arrived late, the chicken rice might sold off. lol

Chili Sauce
Chicken Rice
That's how I get to have the chicken rice photos taken. The chicken is very tender and nice. For the chicken rice, it has rich chicken aroma in there. Always don't forget to dip on the chili sauce when you consume the chicken. Don't be surprise to see me there during weekend as when hubby think of pak cham kai during lunch time, he will usually come to this cafe. lol

Second visit to Nippon Yataimura @ Queensbay Mall, Penang

This is my second visits to Nippon Yataimura. The first visit is some time last year, which you can have a look from here. Since the last visit, I did not managed to try the desserts so I went back again with my family to try out their other stuff as well.
NIPPON YATAIMURA
During the visit, hubby is quite full since he got late lunch on that day, so he decided to order different types of sushi to try. I am so concern as he keeps on order the sushi and I am afraid to finish it all up. lol But luckily that he managed to order just the right amount for all of us.
Nigiri Sushi Combo

Closed up of some of Nigiri Sushi Combo ~ RM18
There are some wide spread combination in the sushi combo. So each of us have the chance to taste some of them. Even my gal had the chance to tastes the shrimp sushi and she loves it.

Salmon Sakura Roll ~ RM21
Hubby and I quite enjoyed this plate of salmon sakura roll. It has a nice combination and lay out.
Maguro (RM4) and White Tuna Sushi (RM4)
In our last visit, we tried the white tuna sashimi before and we fall in love with it. So this time, we try the sushi. And it tastes nice too. As we like the tenderness of the white tuna and it can melt in your mouth. Maguro are not bad too.

Nabeyaki Gekikara ~ RM24
Since my last visit, I try Gekikara Ramen, this time I told hubby that I would like to try the other types of noodles as well. So after browsing through the menu, we decided to try Nabeyaki Gekikara. Then I asked the waitress that take our orders whether it is "spicy" and she told me it is not very spicy. So I give it a try and for me, it is not too "spicy" and the soup base is very nice. And the textures of the noodles are great. I let hubby and my gal try some and they love the noodles textures. My gal even is adventure enough to try on the soup base. lol At first sip, she say nice and not spicy and second sip, she grab her drink as quickly as possible. But at least she try but I warned her that it's spicy for her. At least she did not burst to tear. lol
Children Set A ~ RM13
Since we ordered most of the foods that my gal can't have it, so she asked for children set and after browsing through the children set section, she decided to have some fried rice. So for Children Set A, it consists of fried rice, sushi, fish fingers, sweet corn, Vitagen and sausages. She finished all the fried rice. But she don't quite like the fish fingers and sweet corn. As the sweet corn is a bit hard for her. Overall, she quite enjoyed her set meal. Following are some closed up photos of Children Set A:

Anmitsu ~ RM11
After all the dinner, here comes the desserts. We browse through the menu and some of the desserts we would like to try is out of stock. End up we try Anmitsu. Which is green tea ice-cream with some jelly and red beans. As you know my hubby is the great fans of green tea ice-cream. He reckon that it is ok. It is best to go with red beans. As for the jelly, it's a bit hard.

Laksa Kelang Lama, Kulim, Kedah.

Few days before the review of Noodle Station, a bunch of bloggers already suggested a makan trip after the review. There are many suggestion such as Lunas Duck, Pan Mee, Curry Mee, Chai Kuih, Laksa and Ais Kacang. But after the review, we found that the Lunas Duck already closed. So they decided to go for laksa and ais kacang. While reaching at the laksa place we noticed that the chai kuih stall was closed. Heard many comments that the chai kuih are nice. But will try that out next time.
For this time round, let me share with you the laksa and ais kacang that we had in

Laksa Kelang Lama, Kulim.
Business Hour: 11.00am -6.00pm (Closed on Monday)
Tel: 04-4904935

Laksa
I am not a real fans of laksa. But I do take laksa whenever I feel like having it. The laksa being served here is totally different with Penang Laksa. This one is more towards sourness. Whereas Penang Laksa is more towards sweetness. People such as my MIL and my hubby aunt does not like Penang Laksa. Whenever they came to Penang, they will complaint that Penang Laksa is not nice. ^-^ I guessed they grew up to love only sourish kind of laksa. This laksa would suit their taste buds. Jian was so fascinating with the laksa noodles that served in this stall as she never try such springy laksa noodles before. But to me, I always eat this type of laksa noodles in my hubby home town. ^-^
The price of small laksa is RM 2.40 and big one for RM2.80. And if you want only the soup, which cost RM1.20.

Ikan Billis Cracker
Would you like to have some crackers to go with the laksa. This is one of the specialty here. And I quite enjoying the cracker. lol Each piece of cracker cost RM0.20.

Ais Kacang
This shop ais kacang is strongly recommend by Allen and Allie. Both A's love it very much. And I agree with them though as you hardly get super fine ice shave. And with the combination of all the ingredients and also top with syrup and condense milk. Give it a try next time when you are in Kulim.
You can also try out the Chai Kuih that I mentioned early in this posts which is not open on the day we visit. It is just next door to the laksa shop. ^-^
